Working groups PlantAlliance-Consortium Biocontrôle

PlantAlliance and Biocontrôle consortia are dedicated to promote cooperation between public and private research stakeholders, respectively in plant biology and biocontrol. The need to combine these disciplines has led to the creation of two working groups that aim to:

  • identify common research public-private priorities
  • produce summary documents, position papers or communication supports, when its relevant
  • participate in scientific events that address thematic arising from joint discussions.

Working group "seed and biocontrol":

Seed protection by biocontrol solutions is highly awaited in an international context of synthetic pesticides reduction. The GIS Biotechnologies Vertes (GIS BV) and Biocontrol consortium have already organized a workshop and produced a position paper (available below) addressing this issue, which should be followed up and updated

Working group "Microbiome":

General reduction of synthetic inputs and water uses, pushed by regulations and social wishes of consumers, as well as growers, encourages the development of global solutions to boost optimum plant growth and health. Following a workshop organized by the GIS BV in 2018, a group of scientist has produced a position paper (available below) identifying the research priorities on this thematic, whose content should be enriched considering the evolution of the context.
